MISSION: The Utah Running Club (URC) was created to make running and walking more fun and meaningful!  We try to do this by helping the community to find out about local events and resources and supplementing them with our own.  Running and walking are great ways to get in shape, lose excess weight, develop confidence, make friends with great people, enjoy social interaction while reaching your fitness goals, and develop talents.  Running with others in races, training groups, or being connected to other runners in the community whether as part of a club, team, social network, or just having affiliations with them makes running fun and satisfying and helps to keep you motivated.  We hope to try to help all runners to find social connections and create unity in the running community as we support all the clubs, teams, stores, races, and other running events and entities and encourage them to work together for the good of the entire running community.

JOIN UTAH RUNNING CLUB!

URC MEMBERSHIP COST:

$10/Year

BENEFITS:

  • E-mail and facebook notification of AND FREE ENTRIES TO some of the best races in or near Utah*, discounts, other running events, and special offers.  *Occasionally we are given a couple free entries to races in exchange for our advertising we do for them, and these entries are offered to the facebook group “Utah Running Club” via a message.  The first people to respond get the entries.  If no one responds in a reasonable amount of time, they are then offered to the free group “Utah Running Guide.”
  • Approval to join the paid-member-only facebook group, “Utah Running Club,” which sends out these exclusive offers.
  • $1 off URC Races (mail-in or race-day only, subject to the higher costs if you register late, see price chart on URC Races link)
  • There has been a recent change so that your membership expires at the end of the year regardless of when you sign up, in order to make book keeping simple. Those who signed up in 2008-2009 who were informed other wise will be able to have their membership continue throughout 2010.
You can also purchase a racing singlet there. These are made out of a light-weight, technical fabric to make them cool during the summer and you can wear them over your cold-weather gear to represent the club during other seasons! There are no refunds after you have worn them, sorry. If they don’t fit you, I will give you a refund or reorder another one your size if it is unworn. These may be picked up in Provo or mailed to you, but if mailed, we are not responsible for lost shipping.
